Enabling & Promoting Adaptive Surfing

In 2012 SURFaddict (the Portuguese Association for Adaptive Surfing) and its volunteers made it possible for people with disabilities in Portugal to connect with the ocean through surfing in a safe and joyful way.

Today, Vice President of the Association Teresa Abraços, an iconic female veteran surfer, actively inspires others to take part in and support this project. Teresa has a special place in the heart of those she lovingly tutors, a feeling very much apparent in everyone’s smile at these much-loved events. Lisbon Portugal, 2019.

Caring for our Youth

A devoted home to babies and children in need of a safe and caring environment to live in; Mimar staff and volunteers care lovingly for these children as if they were their own.

Mimar is a non-profit private social institution dedicated to promoting the wellbeing of babies and children from troubled or struggling families, whom for various reasons need to be housed, protected and taken care of away from their home environment. Lisbon, Portugal, April 2019.
